Transitions Through the Perimenopausal Years gives you the tools and the space to expand your self-knowledge and increase your understanding of your journey through perimenopause so you can feel comfortable in deciding on healthy life choices.

During their research, the authors were struck by the array of confusing information available to women about midlife and perimenopause. They learned through conducting workshops and listening to women’s stories that there is no one way to experience perimenopause. Women launched into anecdotes about hot flushes and night sweats, some lamented losing their sex drive, others told of their productivity during nights of insomnia.

The authors also found that not only is each woman’s perimenopausal experience unique but her self-perception influences her transition. The authors believe that if each woman could fully assess her perimenopausal situation, she could then choose all that she needs to have an empowering and even fun! perimenopausal journey.

Chapter 4, What’s Happening Now?, explains many of the typical signs and conditions of perimenopause as well as other changes that occur in midlife and Chapter 5, Living Long Living Well, discusses health challenges that women may face as they age.

Chapter 6, Clarifying the Risks, provides risk assessments and health profiles to help us determine our personal risk level for these potential challenges.

Chapter 7, Paths to Wellness, reviews the advantages and disadvantages of various healthcare options, including traditional, alternative, and lifestyle choices.
